Gilbert PD asks for help identifying suspects in August aggravated robbery

Posted

An aggravated robbery took place in August near Williams Field Road and Market Street, and Gilbert police are asking for the public’s help identifying those involved.

Police have released several photos of the incident that occurred about 10:25 p.m. Aug. 18 in a parking lot to assist in the investigation.

Any information that can help should be reported to the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500. Tips can be submitted anonymously through glbrt.is/GPDSubmitATip .

Police stated in a release the department is doing a “thorough review of past cases from the last two years involving youth to determine if there is any additional information or correlation between these incidents that can assist us with our past investigations.”

The department is working with neighboring jurisdictions by sharing information involved with current and past investigation, according to the release.

Officials also said the department is continuing increased patrol of “high-traffic areas often frequented by youth, including areas in and around the mall and Gilbert’s Downtown Heritage District.”

Suspicious activity or behavior should be reported to police at the department’s non-emergency line or 911 for emergencies.
