A woman possibly suffering from heat exhaustion was rescued Wednesday afternoon from the top of a silo at a Tempe food plant, officials said.

Crews from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue along with Phoenix and Chandler fire departments responded to the Mission Food plant, 5860 S. Ash Ave., where they were told a woman who was working on a 50-foot-highl silo and was unable to get down.

An aerial ladder was used to remove her from the silo, and she was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Tempe fire officials said.
