Escape room challenge coming to Tempe

Escapology is coming to Tempe Marketplace with new a new feature that allows youngsters to play detectives in a room designed just for them.

The business provides customers with rooms where they are challenged with puzzles to figure out how to escape from areas themed “Who Stole Mona,” “Mansion Murder” and more.

The Tempe location, 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway, is the second in Arizona and will open Oct. 20.

The 4,500-square-foot space will feature five interactive experiences played in private groups of up to eight people. Participants in the 60-minute adventures will solve puzzles, open locks and discover secret rooms while trying to escape, according to a release.

Each room is controlled by gamemasters who supply clues and offer support to players.

New to the Tempe location as well as the San Tan Village Escapology is KIDS MODE, “where children command the space, learning and growing together through teamwork, problem-solving and communication,” the release stated.
