Posted
Special to Independent Newsmedia
Glendale Police report that Gary Slatcher, 76, was killed in what investigators are pursuing as a domestic disturbance.
On May 27, police responded to a single-family home in the 6300 block of Potter Drive in north Glendale just after 2 p.m. Call information indicated the suspect was an elderly woman who allegedly reported she shot her husband inside the home.
Officers arrived and located the suspect. She was taken into custody without incident and transported for detective questioning. Officers also located her husband inside the home.
He was pronounced dead on scene.
Police allege there was a domestic disturbance in the home. The female suspect allegedly shot the male during that disturbance and he subsequently died from gunshot wounds.
The investigation is ongoing. Pending the investigative results, charges may be submitted.
