El Mirage hosts Public Safety Day Feb. 2

The city of El Mirage welcomes everyone to its Public Safety Day in February.
The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Gateway Park, 10100 N. El Mirage Road.
The El Mirage Police and Fire departments will have displays and demonstrations including a helicopter, crime scene vans, a crash truck display, and demos and displays of other police, fire, and military equipment.
The Arizona SciTech Festival will be on site celebrating STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), with displays and exhibits by participating Dysart Unified schools, El Mirage departments, and area businesses.
Touch-A-Truck large vehicles will be on site for kids to explore, touch, and take pictures with. Free Kid Zone attractions include toddler and child bouncy houses, inflatables, obstacle courses, games, and more.
Internationally-known Stunt Master BMX Bicycle Thrill Show will provide a special performance.
A total of four children’s bicycles will also be raffled off, courtesy of Walmart of El Mirage.
Food trucks and community vendors will also be on-site.
Sponsors include the El Mirage Police and Fire departments, Arizona Public Service, Walmart, Park’s and Son’s, Coco’s Towing, Roberts Car Care, the Arizona Trucking Association, and RV Sales and Consignment.
