Driver arrested in fatal Buckeye collision involving Arizona prison employee

Authorities have arrested a man involved in a head-on collision that killed an Arizona Department of Corrections employee.
On Tuesday morning, Edward Scott, 46, was taken into custody at a rehab center in Youngtown, records indicate.

He was identified as a driver in a deadly collision July 13 near Beloat Road and Verrado Way in Buckeye.
According to records, Mr. Scott was the driver of a pickup truck traveling along Beloat when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The driver, later identified by the Arizona DOC as Roy Justin Williams, died at the scene.
Mr. Scott was taken to a Goodyear hospital for treatment of a broken leg, records indicate.
Authorities learned he had methamphetamine in his system.
The Arizona DOC tweeted July 16 that Mr. Williams was killed in the collision while heading to work at the Lewis prison in Buckeye.
A GoFundMe account has raised more than $6,200. A celebration of life and funeral was July 20.
Mr. Williams leaves behind a wife and two children, according to his obituary.
