The Chandler Symphony Orchestra plans a free show designed for youth on Sunday, Nov. 12, 3, p.m., with a program that will appeal to the child in all of us.
The all-ages concert at the Chandler Center for the Arts will begin with Felix Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture followed by Antonín Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances Op. 46, No. 8 in G minor and Op. 72, No. 2 in E minor.
In the second half, you’ll hear Johannes Brahms’s Hungarian Dances No. 5 in G minor and No. 6 in D Major and — the saving best for last — Sergei Prokofiev’s delightful story Peter and the Wolf, featuring narration by Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke.
Even though the event is free, RSVP on Eventbrite to let CSO know who will be attending.
The concert will also be live-streamed, so if you prefer to watch this way, log in at chandlercenter.org/csolive just before 3 p.m. on Nov. 12.
