Car crashes into Tempe home after collision

Tempe police said impairment is believed to be a factor in a collision early Friday morning that sent a vehicle crashing into a home.

At about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, a vehicle collided with the rear of a car, struck a light pole and crashed into a home, police said in a release.

Tempe Fire Medical and Rescue responded to the crash at Mill Avenue and Baseline Road and extricated the driver.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle that hit the home and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said, adding impairment is believed to be a factor.

The second vehicle's driver did not sustain any injuries, and those in the home were not injured, police said.
