Bicyclist killed in Pinal hit and run

A bicyclist in Arizona City was struck and killed by a car Wednesday morning.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office reports that between 5 and 5:40 a.m., a bicyclist traveling westbound on Battaglia Drive near Yucatan Road in Arizona City, was struck by a vehicle. Arizona City is about 34 miles south of Florence.

The victim received life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased at a hospital, PCSO stated. The suspect vehicle did not stop and left the area.

PCSO is looking for a vehicle believed to be white, possibly an SUV or pickup truck, according.

The agency is asking anyone with information to call 520-866-5111.
