The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed improvements to the drainage system along State Route 88 between Tomahawk and Buffalo roads in Apache Junction.
Crews installed new pipe culverts for the intersection at SR88 and Tomahawk Road and modified three existing culverts in the project area, according to a release.
ADOT thanks the community for its patience throughout construction, the release states.
The intersection at SR88 and Tomahawk Road reopened June 16 but crews were to continue to work in the area and minimal restrictions were expected as the project wrapped up.
