Families are invited to a fall festival and open house on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Abrazo Surprise Hospital.
Community residents can tour the hospital and meet Abrazo staff to learn about the services available at the community acute care hospital, which just celebrated its third anniversary.
Children can meet first responders and see a fire truck up close. Other planned activities also include fall themed crafts and games, health education and a scavenger hunt through the hospital located at the southwest corner of West Bell Road and Loop 303 at 16815 W. Bell Rd.
Abrazo Surprise Hospital opened on Oct. 12, 2020, as the first acute care hospital in the city of Surprise. It serves patients of all ages and includes a 13-bed emergency department, eight inpatient rooms, procedure rooms, a lab and pharmacy, and on-site x-ray, CT and ultrasound.
“Hospital staff have worked to develop strong relationships with local first responders, and we look forward to showing our hospital’s capabilities and offering tours of the facility,” said Administrative Director Chrissy Salazar.
“Abrazo Surprise Hospital is firmly embedded in the community. The hospital’s smaller size means shorter ER wait times and patients often say that they’re glad we’re here.”
