Graduation ceremony took place in Mesa

Thirty Arizona troopers have been added to the ranks of the Department of Public Safety following a graduation ceremony earlier this month at the AZDPS State Trooper Academy.

Class 35 comprised 21 cadets and nine officers who transferred from other law enforcement agencies, according to a release.

Col. Jeffrey Glover, director of AZDPS, addressed the class and administered their oath of office during the graduation ceremony in Mesa.

The troopers have begun their 12-week field training program, during which they will each be paired with senior troopers as they begin their highway patrol duties.
