The year 2023 has been set for a dual celebration for the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Scottsdale — the 90th anniversary of the first mass at Old Adobe Mission and the 75th anniversary for the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The Litchfield Park Historical Society, in partnership with Three Rivers Historical Society and the Church at Litchfield Park, will present a free in-person/Zoom lecture on Goodyear’s first 75 years at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 23.
Goodyear residents planning to use the city’s new recreation campus when it opens this summer have several admission options, including a $75 promotional pass for individuals and families valid through the end of the year.

Goodyear is implementing new recreation and rental fees this year, but residents will receive a break if the City Council approves a 75th anniversary pass promotion when it meets in regular session Monday, Jan. 25.
Goodyear experienced tremendous growth in 2020, with dozens of industrial and housing projects wrapping up or getting under way, and small businesses opening, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The new year is expected to bring more of the same, and the city itself has some major projects that will come to fruition or get under way in 2021.
