Many Scottsdale residents get utilities from SRP, and the new pricing and price plans put into effect may have low-income folk wondering what to do.
Wildfire, an anti-poverty nonprofit, is advising low-income Scottsdale residents and low-income Arizonans in general to apply for expanded SRP utility discount programs that can help lower their monthly bills, according to a press release.
Under the new SRP income-qualified discount, customers who live at the service address and meet the requirements for income can receive the following:
• $35 off their monthly bill if their household income is up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), up from $23 previously
• $10 off their monthly bill if their household income is between 151% and 200% of the FPL, a newly eligible group
