Second-Degree murder charge

Teen suspect charged in Maryvale High School stabbing death

The Maryvale High School fight that ended in a student’s death apparently stemmed from the victim allegedly robbing the 16-year-old suspect of a firearm a day earlier, according to court documents.

Multiple juvenile witness accounts told police the victim allegedly robbed suspect Christopher Aguilar of a firearm “recently,” and one witness claimed the suspect and his twin brother “made statements (about) murdering the victim” after the robbery occurred, court documents stated.

Aguilar is charged with second-degree murder after police said he fatally stabbed the victim with a 4-inch pocket knife, according to court records.
