Gas prices jumped in the Valley another 12 cents a gallon this week, rising to $4.49 per gallon, according to AAA Arizona on Friday.
Scottsdale's average price of the pump was even higher at $4.53, an increase of 13 cents from last week, according to AAA Arizona.
“August brings some relief at the pump as road trips wind down and fall routines get underway for many families,” said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “However, elevated crude oil prices could prevent that seasonal shift from starting just yet.”
