Detectives from the Scottsdale Police Department have identified and charged 31-year-old, Epitacio Cortina Jr., and 32-year-old, Crystal Nichole Roberto, for the crimes committed at the Home Depot in Scottsdale on Oct. 13.
The couple is facing charges of armed robbery and organized retail theft, both of which are felonies, police officials say.
The Scottsdale Police Department received numerous tips which led investigators to identify Cortina and Roberto as suspects, police say.
The two suspects reportedly entered the Home Depot at 15499 N. Hayden Road, and attempted to shoplift several power tool items from the Scottsdale store, police say.
When confronted by Home Depot employees, the male suspect displayed a silver handgun and fled with the unknown female from the store with stolen items.
The two suspects were seen leaving the scene in a silver Honda Accord, that was later recovered and determined to have been stolen prior to the robbery.
