"Feminine Spirit" encompasses the ideals that women house incredible power, ability, and growth, including physical, emotional, or spiritual that is shared and brought to the world, according to a press release.

“Women possess a special strength in the depths of their soul. It balances the energies and perspectives in life. It brings perseverance, reflection and heart to everything women do,” said Curator Nicole Royse in a release. “‘Feminine Spirit’ offers artwork that is visceral, authentic and engaging.”

She noted the selected artists “have an incredible energy, originality, and a distinctive voice,” each bringing their own story to the table, creating enigmatic work.

The exhibition highlights each artist’s style, medium, and imagery, working with various mediums including painting, photography, mixed media and sculpture, according to a press release, describing the collection of work as aesthetically different with a bond that connects the work.

“Feminism Spirit” will open to the public from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, coinciding with the Scottsdale ArtWalk, the release said, adding there is an opportunity to meet the artists and curator.

The show will be on display through April 3, at Royse Contemporary at 7077 E. Main Street, Suite 6, in the Scottsdale Arts District. The gallery is open to the public 6-9 p.m., Thursday; 10-1 p.m., Friday; and 12-5 p.m., Saturday, or by private appointment.
