On Monday, October 12 the city of Phoenix observes the Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday, which will affect some city services.

Solid Waste Collection: Curbside collection will not change during the week of Indigenous Peoples’ Day Holiday. Trash and recycling collection will happen as regularly scheduled on Monday, Oct. 12.

Transfer Stations: Both the 27th Avenue and North Gateway transfer stations will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12.

On Monday, October 12 the city of Phoenix observes the Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday, which will affect some city services.

Solid Waste Collection: Curbside collection will not change during the week of Indigenous Peoples’ Day Holiday. Trash and recycling collection will happen as regularly scheduled on Monday, Oct. 12.

Transfer Stations: Both the 27th Avenue and North Gateway transfer stations will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12.

Public Works Customer Contact Center: The Customer Contact Center will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Residents can call 602-262-6251.

Library: In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, all Phoenix Public Library locations except South Mountain Community Library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12. Phoenix Public Library book drops, and digital /eResources remain available. Visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org for more details.

Parking Meters: All parking meters are enforced 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays. Street Transportation regular services will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Parks and Recreation Facilities: City of Phoenix Community centers will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12 for the holiday. Parks and trails will be open for regular hours, but please review “Take a Hike. Do it Right." safety guidelines before visiting a trail.

S’edav Va’aki Museum will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12 for the holiday.

Public Transit: Both bus and light rail will operate on a regular service schedule Monday, Oct. 12. Customer Service hours are 6 a.m.-8 p.m. The following public transit centers are closed: Ed Pastor, Sunnyslope and Central Station. Check ValleyMetro.org for schedules.

Dial-a-Ride service will be available, by reservation, between 4:40 a.m.-11 p.m. To learn more about the Dial-a-Ride service, visit Phoenix.gov/dial-a-ride.
