A 29-year-old man was arrested Oct. 30 in California in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old man in south Phoenix, the Phoenix Police Department said Monday in a news release.
According to the release, just after 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, the Phoenix Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of 16th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
As officers arrived, they located one victim, later identified as 26-year-old Ricktavon Oshea Thompson, lying in a business parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Thompson was transported to the hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department, where he was later pronounced deceased.
