The United Phoenix Firefighters Association along with District 5 Councilwoman Betty Guardado are joining together to host a celebration of Mexican Independence Day.
The event will take place from 4-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 in downtown Phoenix at 4th Avenue and Washington Street.
One of Arizona’s largest Hispanic cultural celebrations, El Grito has welcomed nearly 20,000 attendees and returns this year with an evening of live regional Mexican music, traditional performances, authentic food, family activities, and a fireworks show over downtown Phoenix.
