Chaparral gets replacement game for Friday night

SCOTTSDALE — After Chaparral’s game against Saguaro got cancelled on Monday afternoon, Firebirds Head Coach Trace Carroll told reporters they’d be, “exhausting all options” to find a replacement game.

It didn’t take long for them to find someone willing to play, as Tempe High School has stepped up to the challenge.

Tempe High Head Coach Sean Freeman told Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic that he considers this opportunity to be a, “win-win." If Tempe does walk away with a win, it will be considered one of the upsets of the year. If they lose, the Buffalo will still rack up some major power points to help them in the rankings.
