Driving by Peoria High School this morning, people may have noticed a police presence on campus.
In a letter sent to Peoria High families Principal Sammy Chagolla said a student got into an altercation with a school resource officer in the front office.
"In alignment with our safety protocol, our administration immediately notified the Peoria Police Department, who dispatched additional officers. As a result, you may have seen emergency vehicles entering our campus. We want to assure you that neither our school resource officer or the student were seriously injured," the letter said.
