Vistancia Car Club bringing classic car show to north Peoria

Posted

Vistancia Car Club will cruise their classics for a special car show with the senior citizens living in Peoria's Vista Winds Retirement Community, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Nov. 19, 28783 N. Vistancia Blvd.

Many seniors living at the facility are unable to get out for events, so the members of the VCC are driving in for a day of reminiscing with classics from another era.

The VCC events showcase cars of all makes, models, and years, mostly classics in all conditions, from shiny finishes to rust buckets, highway to off-roaders – basically, whatever runs and is street legal.

The VCC is always looking for ways to support and help local charities and organizations. They have previously teamed up with Trilogy Veterans Group, partnered with the Vistancia Scouts, as well as several local senior facilities.

VCC is a local club that offers free monthly car show events in the community, with no fees to join, participate or attend. They celebrated their 2-year anniversary in October, after starting as a way to create connection and foster community during the pandemic. Their next show will be held 8-11 a.m., Dec. 10,
at the Vistancia Club House parking lot in Northwest Peoria.
