Saddleback, the $1 billion, 5,300-acre master-planned community under development in north Peoria, broke ground on Basecamp, its $10 million destination designed to serve as the social and recreational hub of the master-planned community.
Slated to open in summer 2027, the roughly 16-acre site will feature a collection of amenities and gathering spaces.
Basecamp will feature a 10,000-square-foot event lawn for community events, celebrations and outdoor programming; outdoor lounges, games and grilling areas; and dedicated space for food trucks.
