Peoria staff to present potential general obligation bond authorization for November 2027 election

Peoria staff will give a presentation Sept. 1 at the public city council meeting to request beginning the process of placing a general obligation bond authorization on the November 2027 ballot.

The study session is at 5:30 p.m., in the council chambers, 8401 W. Monroe Street. This will be a discussion item and no formal action will be taken.

General oblication bonds are a way cities finance civic capital needs and improvements, including public safety infrastructure, parks and recreation facilities, water, sewer and drainage projects and other city operational facilities.
