Peoria city facilities closed for the New Year’s holiday

Peoria’s city offices and the Peoria Community Center will be closed from Dec. 31, 2022 to Jan. 2, 2023 in observance of New Year’s Day.
The Peoria libraries will be closing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 and will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2. Rio Vista Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 1. and will be open on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. and on Monday, Jan. 2 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
In addition, trash and recycling will not be collected on Monday, Jan. 2. Trash and recycling normally collected on Mondays will be picked on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Tuesdaypickup will move to Wednesday, Jan. 4. There will be no changes to the Thursday/Friday pickup.
