Scheduling for household hazardous waste pickup now open for Peoria residents
City of Apache Junction
The household hazardous waste collection is for items that typically cannot be deposited into the regular trash.

Household hazardous waste pickup is now open for Peoria residents.
Improper disposal of household hazardous waste can cause fires in solid waste vehicles, contaminate the water system, and endanger the environment.
To keep the public safe, the Peoria Solid Waste Division collects HHW from residents’ homes in a separate pick up several times a year.
Items the city will accept are: ammunition, appliances, electronics, radioactive materials, explosives, medical waste, prescription drugs, sharps, commercial waste, latex paint, tires.
Scheduling for home pick started this week. Collection dates are May 6-24. To schedule an appointment, call 623-773-7836 or visit //www.peoriaaz.gov/HHW.
