Peoria City Council to discuss potential fire-medical fees, water topics at next meeting

Peoria City Council will discuss two topics at its study session at their public meeting Oct. 6: the potential implementation of charges for non-emergent, non-transport fire-medical responses at health care institutions, and presentations from the water services department.

The water presentations will focus on three topics: a review of proposed amendments to multiple sections of the water and sewers city code; a follow-up update on the status of the city’s advanced water purification program; and an update on the Beardsley Water Reclamation Facility.

Regarding the potential implementation of charges, Peoria Fire-Medical personnel routinely respond to calls at health care institutions that do not result in patient transportation.
