Peoria city attorney sides with council member in residency dispute

The Peoria city attorney has found that allegations of Jennifer Crawford’s residency are unfounded.

Three complaints have been filed challenging Crawford’s residence in the Acacia District, where she was elected to represent tens of thousands of residents. After a month of questions and lack of definitive response on her residency, City Attorney Emily Jermu provided a more conclusive statement on the matter.

During the pubic council meeting Oct. 6 Jermu said Crawford’s residency allegations were not meritorious.
