New housing development approved for north Peoria

The Peoria City Council has approved a proposal to bring a 139-lot single-family residential gated subdivision named Travesio to the northwest corner of 95th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

The property wraps around the north and east sides of the Lake Pleasant Crossings commercial shopping center, which is anchored by Fry’s Marketplace and Lowes.

Attorney Adam Baugh, on behalf of K. Hovnanian Great West Homes, submitted the proposals that includes a density of 2.48 units per acre.
