Join StoryWalk ribbon cutting in Peoria

The city of Peoria is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Peoria’s newest StoryWalk, featuring Eric Carle's "From Head to Toe," a fun family story for all ages, 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at Rio Vista Community Park, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd.
StoryWalk is an innovative way for children to read and play outdoors at the same time.
As individuals stroll down the trail, they are directed to the next page in the story. Families are invited to celebrate the launch of this new addition and participate in a special storytime.
The ceremony will be held near the children’s playground area inside the park.
