Deer Valley Unified will consider 2% salary increases

Deer Valley Unified School District will consider giving raises to teachers and other professional staff.

At its Tuesday meeting the governing board will hear a recommendation from the Negotiation Solutions Team to give an average 2% salary increase to administrators, exempt employees, teachers, and staff, as well as classified employees.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 in person in the governing board room, at 20402 N. 15th Ave., or streamed live online on the district’s YouTube channel.

The raise also would include a one-time retention payment of $1,250 for full-time employees. That payment would be made on or about Sept. 12.

The FY 2024-25 salary recommendation comes from the Negotiated Solution Team, which is comprised of four certified teachers, four classified employees, four administrative/exempt/principals/assistant principals, and three district administrators. The group’s goal is to focus on salary, benefits, employee rights and terms and conditions of employment.
