Cox volunteers give time, sweat to build Habitat for Humanity home in Peoria

Posted

A group of Cox volunteers pitched in their time and skill to help build a new home Nov. 7 on Washington Street with Habitat for Humanity near downtown Peoria.

Participants said it was an unforgettable day filled with teamwork, community spirit and a sense of purpose.

“We have been proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity for over 25 years. Our Arizona employees always look forward to the projects with Habitat where we can roll up our sleeves and work side by side to build homes and memories in the community,” said Susan Anable, vice president of Cox, Phoenix market.

Habitat for Humanity's mission to provide safe, affordable housing aligns with Cox's values.

Team Cox is the corporation's enterprisewide, employee-powered volunteer force of 55,000 people, with the goal to leave the world better than they found it, according to their website.
