Mosaic Management, a senior living company located on the west coast, has partnered with Seattle-based Eldergrow to bring nature indoors to their residents. The partnership is launching locally at Mosaic Gardens at Scottsdale, 9450 E. Mountain View Road, where residents will get the opportunity to design and plant their new indoor sensory gardens.

Eldergrow’s indoor garden programs are centered around mobile, indoor gardens handcrafted by veterans and adults living with disabilities. Each of the Mosaic communities will receive two therapeutic horticulture gardens designed for residents living in memory and skilled care settings.

The gardens come with a full-service therapeutic horticulture program with in-person educators who teach evidence-based, therapeutic horticulture classes twice a month. Studies have shown that horticultural therapy reduces depression, improves self-esteem, improves balance, coordination, and endurance, and can lower the risk factors for dementia by 36%.
