Heartbroken about Laguna, still supporting Scottsdale Unified bond

OPINION — I am heartbroken about Laguna, and I will still vote yes on the SUSD bond.

My family spent 12 years at Laguna. Its educators helped my children thrive. I fought to keep it open. My yes does not erase that grief or endorse every district decision.

As a Realtor, I know a property’s value extends beyond its walls. Schools are public assets; caring for them is a shared responsibility. Enrollment changes, but buildings remain.
