Sun Country Airlines offers new nonstop service at Gateway

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport has a new airline with travel to and from Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport starting Nov. 24.

Sun Country Airlines announced its new nonstop service between Gateway Airport and Minneapolis, Minnesota, will have flights four times per week on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday.

“With more and more people excited to resume traveling, we’re thrilled to be able to offer them the opportunity to visit these incredible vacation destinations this winter,” Sun Country Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney said in a release. “We’re really proud to bring our brand of convenient, affordable travel to more cities in the Upper Midwest, so folks can enjoy the vacations they’ve been dreaming about.”

As of Feb. 1, the airline has 83 routes serving 61 cities, according to suncountry.com.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is operated by the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. PMGAA consists of representation from Apache Junction, Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Gila River Indian Community and Phoenix.
