People suffer isolation for many different reasons

Posted

I’m writing regarding Joshua Anbar’s article on autism (“ASU professor: Living with autism spectrum disorder can be isolating”).

What got my attention was the title referring to isolating. I’m trying to arrange a class on belonging at Friendship Village. Initially, my focus was isolation as we age. In my research, I’m discovering people like Joshua who suffer isolation for many different reasons.

Your publication causes me to wonder if offering more such classes might benefit a wider audience since a central part of the class is discovering what your preferred method of relating is and how to maximize it for personal well being-both physically and spiritually.
