“We are looking forward to debuting a completely new concept for Pedal Haus — the “biergarten” — which will provide a fun, lively and largely outdoor space for people to enjoy great beer, delicious food, lawn games, live music and more,” Mr. Wright said in a release. “We also look forward to being a part of the historic Pit Stop and helping to preserve and re-purpose the 1950s structure.”

It is to be Pedal Haus’ first “biergarten” concept focused around a 6,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio that will offer visitors a park-like feel complete with an indoor-outdoor bar, fire pits and a stage for live music. The interior will be 2,300 square feet. The eatery will preserve many of the original auto body shop’s Modernist “Googie Style” design features, such as the floating “V” awning, the release states

“Downtown Mesa is the perfect location for Pedal Haus’ new biergarten,” Mesa Mayor John Giles said in the release. “It will add a new dimension to our growing local brewery scene. I’m excited to check out the festive atmosphere, live music, great food and more.”

Fans of Pedal Haus can enjoy all of the brewery’s beers on tap as well as their margaritas and expect favorite signature dishes such as haus smoked wings, Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and maple butter, the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, Von Hanson’s bratwursts and burgers. Guests can also look forward to Pedal Haus’ Sunday Funday promotion which includes $12 bottomless breakfast plus a beer, live music, wing specials and drink deals, the release states.

Pedal Haus Brewery has gained notoriety in the local craft beer scene since 2015 when it opened its first location on Mill Avenue in Tempe. Since then, the brewery has won more than 32 medals and awards including a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2018 and Best Brewery in the United States at the 2019 Copa Cerveza de Americas. Brewmaster Derek Osborne will continue to manage the beer lineup at both locations.
