Mesa victim services gets $475K in federal funds

When criminal charges are filed with the Mesa Municipal Court, the Victim Services Unit reviews the case to identify victims and notifies them of their rights, case status and court dates.

Mesa will receive $475,000 in federal grant funds to help support victim services.

On Monday, the Mesa City Council unanimously voted to enter into a contract with the Arizona Department of Public Safety to receive federal funding through the federal Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Grant Program.
