Mesa PD investigating Sunday morning homicide

Police are investigating a homicide that occurred May 7 in the 2300 block of East  Camino in Mesa.

 Authorities reported no arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

Just before 2 a.m. May 7, the Mesa Police Department received reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the East Camino address, they found Jeremiah Aviles, 18, dead inside a house, according to police.

“This homicide investigation is still in the early stages and details may change as the investigation progresses,” police said in a release.
