Families are invited to East Valley Firefighter Charities’ special community car show for an up-close look at LifeNet’s emergency air medical helicopter, numerous fire trucks, the city of Mesa’s historic parade truck, classic cars, muscle cars, and much more.
More than 100 vehicles are expected to be on display 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Skyline High School, 845 S. Crimson Road in Mesa, according to a release.
The free event is to feature food trucks, raffles, a kids’ zone and various vendors. Proceeds will go toward the East Valley Firefighter Charities’ charity fund and relief fund, the release states.
The charity fund supports community needs such as food banks, emergency shelters or neighbors needing temporary assistance following events such as house fires. The relief fund assists public safety personnel and their immediate families in times of crisis.
East Valley Firefighter Charities is a group of approximately 1,100 firefighters representing nine fire departments. They hold various events throughout the year to raise money for community needs.
