The look and landscaping for a proposed 45,000-square-foot industrial development are to discussed at a July meeting of the Mesa Design Review Board.

An application by Steven Rice of Pinnacle Design Inc. is to be discussed at the board’s July 15 meeting that begins at 4:30 p.m. in the lower council chambers, 57 E. First St.

Dale Cavan of Signal Butte Germann LLC is the owner of the 4 acres approximately 750 feet north of the northeast corner of South Signal Butte Road and East Germann Road.

The site is within the logistics and commerce district of Mesa’s Gateway Strategic Development Plan and intends to comply with the district’s focus and goals of growing the light industrial uses within this area with the creation employment opportunities, according to a written project narrative from Cavan Commercial.

The all-volunteer Mesa Design Review Board is unique in that its composition is set by the zoning ordinance to include two architects; two from other design professions such as landscape architecture, engineering, urban planning, interior design or other design-related background; one contractor or developer; and two residents, according to the city’s website.
