Grand jury indicts father in Mesa Arts Center theft, son not charged

A father has been indicted on two felony charges in connection with the theft of jewelry from a museum at the Mesa Arts Center, authorities said Monday.

Jean Zintz faces felony charges of theft and burglary, and one misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a child, his 10-year-old son, according to a release from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

In mid-August, Zintz and his son entered the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum at the Mesa Arts Center and took jewelry valued at more than $7,000, officials said.
