Towne Meadows Elementary School and Canyon Rim Elementary School, both part of Gilbert Public Schools, have been recognized with the A+ School of Excellence Award by the Arizona Educational Foundation.

Canyon Rim Elementary in Mesa earned its A+ School of Excellence Award by resonating with families who seek a nurturing, traditional learning environment where students thrive.

Canyon Rim fosters a passion for learning through diverse programs and opportunities that cater to individual student needs.

By cultivating a positive, family-oriented atmosphere that emphasizes strong relationships and a growth mindset, Canyon Rim has attracted and retained its talented teachers who create a vibrant setting for academic and personal growth.

"This award is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our talented teachers, who go above and beyond to ensure every student feels valued and supported,” said Joe Lopat, principal at Canyon Rim Elementary. “We are proud to be recognized as a school that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and a strong sense of community."

Towne Meadows Elementary in Gilbert earned its second A+ School of Excellence Award by living up to its promise of love, belief, learning, and growth — creating a student-centered atmosphere that fosters caring, fun, and learning.

Through its rigorous gifted programs, opportunities to participate in student committees, and its annual traditions, Towne Meadows cultivates a sense of community that challenges students while allowing them to grow.
