Colby Raha, freestyle motocross star, on Jan. 31 delivered one of the most jaw-dropping moments of the event at Revel Surf Park in Mesa, launching 90 feet straight into the air off a quarter pipe to set a new world record for vertical height on a motorcycle.

The stunt combined distance, speed and precision — with Raha accelerating across a 275-foot run over the park’s wave pool before hitting the ramp at full throttle and exploding skyward, according to a release.

The record-setting air drew sustained crowd reaction and became the signature highlight moment of the program, with spectators and cameras capturing the jump from multiple angles.

The successful attempt adds to Raha’s growing list of world-record achievements and reinforces his reputation for pushing the outer limits of freestyle motocross performance.
