Senior Expo hosted by Independent Newsmedia held in Mesa

Posted

Several hundred adults attended a recent Mesa Senior Expo hosted by Independent Newsmedia that showcased businesses as vendors and sponsors.

The event, held the morning of Nov. 14 at Mesa Market Place Swap Meet, 10550 E. Baseline Road, included resource booths, merchandise giveaways and free information. Attendees and vendors were encouraged to check out the open-air Mesa Market Place happening at the same time.

Mesa resident Rebecca Cullen of Apex Home Repair Remodeling was one of the vendors.

“I thought it was great. I thought they did a great job. It was lots of interest — people were interested, people knew about it ... the weather was really perfect,” she said. “I thought it was a very, very nice event... I got quite a few referrals — yeah, I was very happy.”

Sue Medenwaltt, visiting from Minnesota, said she picked up information from a couple vendor booths.

“I did pick up some useful information — insurance and about dementia. And then I saw the little free doodads,” she said of giveaways.

Mesa resident Mary Jane Lessard liked the medical and dental information she found.

“The doctor does natural health; I think that’s good. And I know what dentist now that is in Mexico that they will drive you to,” she said.

The Mesa Senior Expo included a comprehensive range of products and services related to retirement and improved style of living, including: Apex Home Repair, Wellcare, Garrett Ranous PGIA, Ryze Outdoor Creations, Padel Pals, Desert Financial Wills and Trusts, Lifetime Home Remodeling, Impact Med Solutions, Heaven’s Medical, Captel Outreach, Amazing Dental, Archwell Health, Farm Bureau, Semper Fi Heating and Cooling, Encompass Health-East Valley, MD First Research Chandler, America First Credit Union, Stressless Remodeling, Abrazo Funeral Home, Oak Street Health, AudioNova, For Energy, NuBath, Banner Goldfield Medical Center, Renewal by Andersen, Home Concepts Customer Remodel, and Arizona Relay Service.
