The family and friends of Scott Appelman, the local founder of Rainbow Ryders, invite the public to join them in celebrating his life - one that shaped the future of hot air ballooning.
From 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 22, a celebration of life will take place to honor Appelman's legacy, filled with cherished memories alongside his loved ones and the Rainbow Ryders team.
The event will take place at Rainbow Ryders, 7934 N. Glen Harbor Blvd., Glendale, offering an opportunity for Scott’s family, friends, and the community to come together.
Appelman's passion for ballooning and the community around it showed even before he founded Rainbow Ryders in 1983. He grew the company from a small startup into a leader in the hot air balloon industry.
He was a husband, father, pilot and philanthropist.
Also, Raibow Ryders is celebrating the return of it Sunset Flights for the winter season. The seasonal afternoon balloon rides have begun and will run through March, weather permitting.
