Peoria Unified board divided over hiring search firm for new superintendent

The Peoria Unified School District governing board has been working toward getting a new permanent superintendent, but there has been disagreement as to how to go about getting one.

The majority of the board and the administration appears to be in agreement that a search firm is needed, while two board members want other options.

During the past month, the board and staff have been discussing the issue at their public meetings.
