New Glendale restaurant grows from Tortas Paquimé traditions

Ribbon cutting later this week

More than two decades after introducing the Valley to Tortas Paquimé, TPQ Foods and Valley restaurateur Omar Alvarez unveil the brand’s next evolution with the debut of Paquimex, officially opening on Friday, Aug. 28 in Glendale at 51st and avenues.

The grand opening will kick off with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Glendale Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m., followed by doors opening at 11.

To mark the occasion, guests can have complimentary tastings of Paquimex’s menu throughout the day, featuring rotating samples of the restaurant’s signature dishes, while also purchasing menu items. Complimentary tastings will rotate throughout the day.
